Privacy
Plain language, no fine print. Advaita is used by school students, so we keep what we collect to the minimum needed to teach, and we don't sell it. Ever.
What we collect
- Account details — your name, a phone number or email, your class, and the subjects you pick, so we can sign you in and teach the right things.
- Your PIN — stored only as a one-way hash. We can't read it, and neither can anyone else.
- Learning progress — which lessons you've done, what you've mastered, and where you got stuck, so the tutor can pick up where you left off.
- Study goal, exam date, and weekly time (optional) — if you set these, we use them only to build your personalized study plan and tell you if you're on track. Never shown to anyone but you.
- Basic activity — actions like starting a lesson or asking a doubt, so we can keep the product working and improve it.
- Site visits — even before you have an account, opening our site sets an anonymous browser cookie (no name, no contact info) and notes the page and a general country/city derived from your connection. We don't store your IP address itself, and this is only ever used to see how many people visit and where from — never to identify you personally.
How we use it
Only to run the tutor for you: to teach, remember your progress, answer your doubts, and keep the service reliable. We do not sell your data, and we do not show you ads.
Who can see your data
You can only ever see your own account and progress — every request is tied to your login. If your school provides Advaita to you, the school may see class-level progress (who's keeping up, where a class is stuck) as part of supporting your learning.
AI and third parties
Advaita uses trusted AI services to generate the teacher's voice and to answer live doubts. Only the text or audio needed for that request is sent, and only for that request. We share nothing else with them.
A safe space for students
Advaita is built for students, and it's kept that way: no ads, nothing sold, and no distractions. What it teaches is grounded in a real curriculum and checked before a student sees it, and homework photos are never stored. Parents and guardians are welcome — you can ask us to review or delete an account at any time.
Keeping and deleting your data
We keep your data while your account is active. You can ask us to delete your account and its data at any time — just email us and we'll take care of it.

A note on terms
Advaita is a learning aid. It's built to be accurate and grounded in a real curriculum, but it's a study tool — always check important answers against your textbook and teacher. Use it fairly and don't try to disrupt the service for others.
